The Eiffel Tower is made of wrought iron lattice. It was named after Gustave Eiffel because he was the engineer. It was made for the 1889 World Fair. Origionally, the Parisians thought that is was ugly and it was to be taken down after, but it ended up staying and is now a widely known monument.

 Notre-Dame is a medieval Catholic cathedral. It is on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité. There is a story about it called "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". The main character's name is Quasimodo.

One of the most famous monuments in France is the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, also simple called the Arc de Triomphe. It is located at on end of the Champs-Élysées, at the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle. It was built by Napoleon to commemorate his victories. The only one of his battles that is not depicted on the arc is the one he lost.

The Sainte-Chapelle is a Gothic style, royal chapel. It was used by the Kings of France until the 14th century. It is on the Île de la Cité, in the middle of Paris
